A constellation of events to introduce you to Murano

Discover a sparkling Christmas! The 2008 edition of Natale di Vetro (Christmas In Glass) offers you the chance to enjoy a December rich in art and culture. Take a stroll through a festive Murano where splendid glass sculptures will be on display in the most picturesque locations, visit exhibitions, be a spectator of the traditional Glassworks Regatta, or give your children the chance to try the thrill of glass making. The main routes around the island will be illuminated with Led spheres: a new, creative and ecological way to conceive traditional Christmas decorations.

the site will concerned hand-made blown Murano glasses. We created a full collection of Murano chandeliers, wall lamps, floor lamps, vases, chalices, modern sculptures and pieces of furniture hand made following the ancient Murano glassblowers tradition. The artistic young laboratory " La Moleria di Pietro e Riccardo Ferro" are showing new and unique artistic works.

The fascination of this art is impossible to describe, its presentation would demand attention and high acquaintance. We will try to describe shortly some important points for who had the interest of knowing more on this wonderful and unique art. For this reason we introduce the description of the work of the glass of Murano with some steps drawn from the book "Il Fuoco" of the famous poet Gabriele D' Annunzio.

Comune di Massa Marittima - Grosseto - Tuscany Italy. Museum di Arte Sacra 17 December 2006 - 30 September 2007. An encounter between two artistic and historic site, Venice-Murano and Massa Marittima. The Murano Glass Masters exhibition bears testament to the millennial art of glass making and to the splendour of Venice in the small Tuscan city which we belive to be a worthy setting for such an event.

 

A chandelier is a ceiling-mounted fixture with two or more branches bearing multiple lights. Modern chandeliers are often very ornate, containing dozens of lamps and intricate arrays of various glass shapes to spread light in complex and attractive patterns. Many chandeliers are installed in dining rooms or entryways impacting the ambience of the room. Chandeliers vary greatly in respect to their styles, sizes, and designs. They also vary in the quality and amount of light they produce. Chandeliers are often thought to be large, ornate structures suited for only the wealthy or the very eccentric, but modern chandeliers can be suited to eccentuate any home or room. That being said, there are some simple guidelines with respect to choosing the right chandelier for the appropriate location in the home. It must be remembered that chandeliers are much heavier than typical ceiling mounted fixtures.
